General Conference is just around the corner and it is a wonderful opportunity to pass of a value project for Choice and Accountability. Here are 3 ideas you can use:

Choice and Accountability General Conference Value Project Ideas

  1. Before conference learn more about why we have prophets and other spiritual leaders. During each talk in conference list they things they ask you (or us) to do. Then do those things.
  2. After you listen to all the conference talks make a book of quotations for Choice and Accountability.
  3. Before Conference, in talks given by General Authorities, research the topics of choice and accountability (try looking up agency). Learn why these principles are critical to your happiness and temple preparation. As you listen to Conference create an object (such as a picture, a book of quotations, or a hand-stitched item) that will remind you each day of the commitment to be choose wisely and be accountable for your actions.
  4. (Adapted from a value project suggestion in the Personal Progress Booklet). “Evaluate your use of media and technology.” During General Conference watch for the counsel given on using the media (include any time someone talks about doing Family History online). Based on what you hear in conference, “create and implement a plan to keep improper media from entering your home. Ensure that your plan encourages the wholesome use of television, movies, music, computers, Internet, cell phones, and other media forms [including social media] in the home. Share your idea with your family and others.” I would also say, “keep to this plan.
